Hala Aboulela is certified by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) as a Montessori Guide (Teacher) for children from 2.5 to 6+ years and Montessori Classroom Assistant for children from birth to 3 years, from 6 to 12 years, and from 12 to 18 years. Hala is the founder and former president of Montessori Foundation of Egypt (the AMI Affiliated Society in Egypt), co-founder of The Montessori Institute in Cairo (the AMI Training Center), and Nile River Montessori (one of the first two Authentic Montessori Schools in Egypt). She has been involved in Education since 2013 when she first worked with Elementary and Middle School students as an IB Art Teacher. She also worked with children of different ages from 1.5 to 7 years as an Art teacher and as Montessori Guide. She has a background and experience in Child Nutrition and Child Development. She is a mother of two adolescents who first inspired her to shift her career from Architecture and Web Design to Education. 

Hala designed and delivered our local TMIC Montessori courses between 2019 and 2022. She is currently Co-Head of School and Lead Montessori Guide at a Montessori school in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Hala has also applied to join the AMI Training of Trainers (ToT) program and plans to pursue the path toward becoming one of the first Arabic-speaking AMI trainers in the world.
