MFE is committed to supporting Montessori Education in Egypt and the region, helping schools and centers to maintain the highest quality of Montessori Education while promoting Montessori principles and values to the Egyptian society at large. MFE was founded by Hala Aboulela in 2016 as a non-profit organization. The foundation aims to work with businesses, non-profit organizations, schools, parents, educators, and the government to maximize the reach of the Montessori philosophy to as many children as possible across Egypt. MFE shares the vision of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). The Montessori Institute in Cairo (TMIC) largely contributed to supporting and nurturing the work of MFE since TMIC started in 2018.
